Jacob J. Meister, Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Randolph Equities:
Prior to joining Randolph Equities, Jacob practiced law for over 15 years and was Randolph Equities’ primary outside counsel for several years. During his 15 years in practice, Jacob was a Partner with Michael, Best & Friedrich LLC, a 350 attorney firm and Schwartz & Freeman, a 60 attorney firm that merged with Michael, Best & Friedrich LLC.
He brings a wealth of experience to Randolph Equities. While in private practice, he focused his practice on commercial matters and litigation, including contract, business, real estate, construction, condominium and employment law. He has represented a broad range of clients, including both small to mid-sized business clients and a number of Fortune 500 companies. His clients have included, manufacturers, real estate developers, transportation companies, service providers, banks and financial institutions, import and wholesale companies, internet based companies and non-U.S. corporations that conduct business in the United States.
Jacob received a Juris Doctor degree, with honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin in 1990 where he was the recipient of the University of Wisconsin Law School’s George Young Memorial Award. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from The American University in Washington, D.C. in 1986.
He is admitted to practice law in the States of Illinois and Wisconsin. In addition, he is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Eastern District of Wisconsin and Western District of Wisconsin. He is a member in good standing of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin.
